Poonhill Sunrise Trek starts after the short scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. Then we head to Ghorepani following the bank of the Modi River passing through the village of Tikhedhunga and Ulleri. We pass through ancient bird-filled forests of rhododendron, oak, maple and pine as you climb to the prosperous village of Ghorepani. In the forest, you see the various birds, playful Langur (black-faced monkey) and enjoy the chirping sound of the birds. The early morning climb to the summit of Poon Hill offers breathtaking views of some of Nepal’s highest and most dramatic peaks, including three of the world’s 14,8000 m peaks: Dhaulagiri, Annapurna 1 and Manaslu. The ridges between Ghorepani and Ghandruk offer yet more views of the high peaks in addition to your experience of the green middle hills and terraced farmlands as well as we observe the dazzling sunset and sunrise view in the mountains. Visit Gurung and Magar villages and enjoy their warm greeting and hospitality.
